Maria Gates Holland family visit
July, 200
6

Maria went to Holland to visit her family. She caused a sensation and brought together about five generations of her family for what can only be described as a really, really big party. Yep... our girl had entire trucks of beer, kids up the kazoo, friends, relatives, her daughter and Perry, to record it all. So, to all you Holland people, hello! Welcome to our website. Here are some of the photos Perry took. Also, some links to Maria's family history. She is quite a gal, right? right!

We are going to start with Maria's invention, the Flip Book. They run forever and are pretty cool.

Maria calls these "Flip Books"... so that's what we'll call them, too. They are pretty big files so instead of adding them to the page, I've given you a link to see them. Click on the link. (Go on... they're pretty cool... just do it! Don't be afraid.)
This one starts adding one family member at a time until you have a lot of Dutch people in one photo.

The "Add One" Flip Book

This one keeps changing people, mostly Americans, one at a time.

And now on to the stills!

NOTE: If you want to identify the photos, send me the description (in English or Dutch) and I will post it on the page. Identify the photo by the grid number (13D for example) and send them in an email to: nowellwisch@sbcglobal.net.

(As usual, click on the little picture to see the big picture.)
